On September 19, 2025 President Andre Boucher presented a cheque for $200:00 to Derek Spence from the Law Enforcement Torch Run on behalf of Claude Dupré’s family who donated Claude’s Blue Knights Ontario 2 vest to our Club. Derek was attending meetings in Ottawa and had an opportunity to meet me at Dick Bell Park. Claude was the first recipient of the Guardian Award. The vest was auctioned off last month.
On behalf of Blue Knights Ontario 2 we are proud to donate the proceeds in memory of our oldest member.

Funeral of our Brother Claude Dupré

I wish to thank Don Lanctôt, Mike Conley, Pit Cyr, Diane Cyr, Esa Mottonen, Cathy Summers, Sylvain Leclerc, Ron Lewis, Arabella Lewis as well as Jean Paul Renaud and Pierre Patry from ON VII and David Bowles from ON XVII who joined us to pay respect and a final farewell to a remarkable member of BK ON2.
There was a great turnout by members representing BK ON2 and Andre was proud to have taken part in leading a motorcycle escort comprising of 6 motorcycles leading the hearse from Kelly’s Funeral Home to the Church.
Paul, son of Claude expressed gratitude for showing our support and was deeply touched. Andre spoke with Claude’s wife Bernice and she was very proud of us all.
Claude was our oldest rider at 93 and the oldest rider in Canada. He was the first person to receive the Guardian Award for Law Enforcement Torch Run. He joined BK ON2 in 2007. His contribution to Special Olympics were astonishing. We will miss him and remember him with fond memories indeed.
